Juicing Vs. Blending
There seems to big a very large misconception in the world today as to the extent of functionality of the Magic Bullet, and other similar products. This article is meant to shed some light onto the subject so that people have the opportunity to understand the true differences between a Juicer and a Smoothie maker.
What is a Juicer?
A juicer is a kitchen machine whose sole purpose is to extract the valuable and life saving nectar from all types of produce. Produce is typically fed into the machine where a very high speed spinning strainer blade extracts all the liquid goodness while pulp falls into a catcher. The final product is a straight liquid version on the produce making it easy to consume your daily nutritional needs in seconds of a tasty drink. The pulp can be discarded or recycled into the garden. The liquid is very pure of pulp and produce particulates.
What is a Smoothie Maker/Produce Processor?
Magic Bullet seems to be the best known so we will refer to it as that, but remember we are actually referring to all similar products as well. The magic bullet is what our team here knows as a “smoothie maker”. It is really a miniature self serving delivery unit blender. Meaning a person can easily make themselves a quick produce smoothie. It is a smoothie because there is no filtration of any material during the process. What goes into the blender cup is what comes out, well in a liquid state at least. This is the main difference in the final product.
So now we know the difference; what product should I use?
If it was a perfect world, our team endorses both options for your path to wellness. Each has their specific benefits and drawbacks. Here is a list of some of the key differences and these differences DO have bearing on the final end product (recipes) you can produce.
What’s the bottom line?
Assuming price is not an option, get both. That’s right both. Our team without notice or rhythm will switch between the two. Some days we just want to have something different. Certain recipes can only be made in one or the other machine. Produce on hand and time you want to spend that day also may factor into the decision.
If you have to make a choice, and most choices are made in the bank account, a small personal blender is the easiest way to start experiencing wellness. $50.00 and some produce and you and family are enjoying some tasty treats with little money or time investment. Even if money wasn’t an issue, we still encourage everyone to start on a Magic Bullet style product. It is easy to get your wellness juices flowing, and if any of the limitations of this product hinder your wellness path, then the juicer will almost certainly be your enemy.
